Fathers & Mothers
At ThirtyThree, connection is key. Every day, at least two committed and experienced
elderly people present - affectionately referred to as 'fathers and mothers' - who are available for the young people who visit the drop-in center. These seniors offer a listening ear, share life-
wisdom, provide practical help and are available for in-depth conversations.
Many of these elderly people have a background as a coach, therapist or have experience as an expert.

What unites them is their heart for the young generation and their full support for the vision
of ThirtyThree. Their presence contributes to a safe, warm and stable environment in which
young people feel seen, heard and encouraged.
The strength of ThirtyThree lies in this mutual connection between young and old: young people
are inspired and supported, while older adults share their life experiences in a meaningful way
can use. This creates a community in which generations strengthen each other and work together to grow.
